San Antonio Group Exhibit.

ATTN San Antonio People::
I'm having a piece in a group exhibit in the Southwest School of Art & Craft, downtown San Antonio.
Incase you don't know where that is, here are some directions.
The show will be up till the end of the month, but the opening reception is tonight! 6:30-8:30pm.
Best part is, it's sponsored by Planned Parenthood and all night for $10 not only do you get a cocktail, but also a party favor of condoms.

Kiddies at the Kiddie Park

Last summer I got to photograph a friend from high school and her family. She asked me to take pictures a year later. I've been wanting to do family pictures at the Kiddie Park off Broadway in San Antonio for a while and I finally got to! It was fun, and the location is perfect. However, we didn't know about a large private event during our shoot, but somehow we were able to stay and play and photograph without being kicked out (although a million kids running around is quite distracting for a nearly 2 year old).

The Alamo City (featuring Sam and Roxanne)

Nothing says "San Antonio" and "wedding" like the Alamo, right? Probably not, but doesn't matter. As I said in the previous post of this lovely couple, Roxanne and I grew up together here in San Antonio, Texas. Sam is from Springville and they got married in Utah, but while in San Antonio, Roxanne wanted some "San Antonio" type shots featuring some of the Spanish architecture and main sites. It quickly turned into one of my favorite sessions that I've done, running around my home town with old friends.

Once again, if you can't get enough of this, there are more, just click here!

Stone Oak Park

There is a park near my house called Stone Oak Park, creatively named after the street it is on, which was also creatively named after the entire development name. It's been around for a while just as a wildlife area but then it's sort off been developed into a park with some gravel trails that turn into single track and wider trails for biking. There's also caves! Lots of them, two large ones, one of which you can get down into and supposedly has bolted routes for climbing but plenty of open space for easy bouldering.

Memories and Giveaway Winner Announced!

I know you all have been anticipating this for a week now, but the April giveaway winner is...

Bill Delano. He's a fantastic filmmaker out of New Orleans who I met in a small mountain town in the Dominican Republic and traveled with and even photographed a while back, you should check out his site. And as for the next giveaway, it will have to wait until I come back from my summer travels.

In other news, it's snowed the last two days. Yes, snowed. Thanks, end of April snow storm. I found these pictures from Christmas this last year in San Antonio. The first from my favorite record store back home, Hogwild Records off of N. Main and the second in New Braunfels in the Texas Hill Country. It's a sign for the river, explaining how it's closed for the season, but don't worry, the season reopens Feb 2. I wish Utah winters would end by Feb 2, I'd even take mid-March.
