Boots and Tub.

The other day I was thinking about double exposures and how much I love them. There is just a mystery and charm to them that is hard to capture with photography. I needed a break from my documentary work and figured heading outside for some double exposures would do the trick and be refreshing, a little surprise when I got my roll developed.

Art Show! Art Show!

This weekend I'm having my first art show! There an event in Sugar House (in Salt Lake City) this weekend for a fundraiser for Nepal. The gallery that started this annual event has upgraded to a larger space and now will be having it at 2110 S. 1100 E. at the Leisure Living Warehouse. It's from 5-10, but I'm sure you can come and go as you please. There'll be food, events, and a silent auction. Oh, and my art of course. I'm having a 12-piece series of documentart photography from the Dominican Republic that I shot. I came in last minute, hense the reason why I'm not on the flier, but I promise I'll be there with a large exhibit space. So come, it'll be wonderful.

Feira Internacional de Arte

Yesterday I went to Feira Internacional de Arte (FIART), an annual art show in the Palacio de Bellas Artes. It was supposed to open yesterday morning at 9, but when I went at 11:30, they were still setting up. So I wandered around and got the opportunity to talk to artists from Peru, Colombia, and CUBA while there were stretching canvases and hanging their work. My article plus photo essay is here if you want to check it out.
